Prenatal Visit
We are accepting new patients! When it comes to choosing a pediatrician, we know there are many well-qualified doctors on Oahu. We encourage you to meet with us to see if our practice is the best fit for you and your family! At this initial visit, you can see the office, meet the staff, learn more about the practice, review common newborn issues, and discuss any additional questions or concerns you may have.
Newborn Care
Dr. Diep has privileges at both Kapiolani Medical Center and Queen’s Medical Center and will take care of your newborn daily until discharge. Please inform the hospital staff that Dr. Diep is your pediatrician. Your baby will receive his/her first hepatitis B vaccination and vitamin K injection (prevents bleeding) within 24 hours of birth. If desired, circumcision will also be done for boys prior to hospital discharge. Dr. Diep will see you within a few days after leaving the hospital to check on your newborn.
Medical Home
Regular check-ups are vital to ensure that your child is growing and developing appropriately. During the newborn and infant stages, we track weight, length, and head circumference. As your child gets older, we perform developmental screenings and check other important parameters including hearing, vision, and blood pressure. We strongly believe in the importance of vaccines and the protection they provide, and will keep your child up-to-date. For other acute or complex conditions that may arise, we will help to coordinate specialist referrals.
